QR Code Generator

Generate QR codes for URLs, Wi-Fi, contact cards and plain text, entirely offline.

Runs entirely in your browser. Your data never leaves this device and is never sent to our servers.

A QR code is a bitmap encoding of a short string. This generator builds it in your browser and lets you download it as PNG or scalable SVG.

It matters that it is local: people encode Wi-Fi passwords and personal contact details, and those should never travel to a third party to be turned into a picture.

How to use it

  1. Choose what you are encoding — a URL, Wi-Fi credentials, or free text.
  2. Fill in the fields and set the error-correction level.
  3. Download as PNG for print, or SVG for anything that will be scaled.

Frequently asked questions

What does error correction do?
It adds redundancy so the code still scans when partly obscured. Level L recovers about 7 percent, level H about 30. Use H if you plan to put a logo in the middle.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Generation is local, which is the whole point for Wi-Fi passwords and contact details.
PNG or SVG?
SVG for anything that will be resized or printed large, since it stays sharp. PNG when you need a fixed-size image file.
