HTML to paste in your head
A favicon is the small icon in the browser tab, and modern browsers ask for several sizes. This generator produces them from a letter, an emoji or an image you supply, and gives you the link tags to paste into your head.
How to use it
- Choose text, emoji or an uploaded image.
- Set the background and shape.
- Download the set and copy the HTML.

Frequently asked questions
Which sizes do I actually need?
A 32 by 32 for the tab, a 180 by 180 Apple touch icon, and 192 and 512 for web app manifests. This produces all of them.
Do I still need an .ico file?
Only for very old versions of Internet Explorer. PNG favicons are supported by every current browser.
Is my image uploaded?
No. It is drawn on a canvas in your browser and never leaves your device.
