ASCII art
ASCII art maps brightness to characters — a dense character where the image is dark, a sparse one where it is light. It still earns its place in terminal output, commit messages and README headers.
How to use it
- Choose text banner or image mode.
- Set the output width and character ramp.
- Copy the result into a code block or terminal.

Frequently asked questions
Why does it look stretched?
Terminal characters are taller than they are wide, so the converter samples fewer rows than columns to compensate. Adjust the ratio if your font differs.
What is a character ramp?
The ordered set of characters used from darkest to lightest. A longer ramp gives smoother gradients; a short one gives a starker, more graphic result.
