Morse encodes each letter as a sequence of short and long signals. It is still in use for aviation navigation beacons and amateur radio, and it remains the most robust way to get a message through a very noisy channel.
Standard spacing: one space between letters, a forward slash between words.
How to use it

Frequently asked questions
How is spacing written?
A single space separates letters and a forward slash separates words. Without that separation a Morse string is ambiguous.
What speed is standard?
Amateur radio commonly uses 15–25 words per minute. The player defaults to 20 WPM, which is a comfortable listening pace.
Why do some characters not convert?
Morse covers A–Z, 0–9 and a small set of punctuation. Anything outside that has no standard representation and is skipped.
