A watermark marks ownership without ruining the picture. The usual mistakes are making it either so faint it can be cropped out, or so heavy it dominates the image. Tiled diagonal marks are the hardest to remove; a single corner mark is the least intrusive.

How to use it

  1. Drop in your image.
  2. Type your watermark text.
  3. Set position, size, rotation and opacity.
  4. Download the marked image.

Frequently asked questions

Can a watermark be removed?
A corner mark can usually be cropped away. A tiled, semi-transparent diagonal mark across the whole image is much harder to remove cleanly, at the cost of being more visible.
What opacity works best?
Around 30–50%. Visible enough to deter casual reuse, faint enough not to spoil the image.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The watermark is drawn on a canvas in your browser and the file never leaves your device.
