Sampling a colour from a screenshot or photograph is the quickest route to a palette that already works. Click anywhere to read the exact value, and the tool also extracts the dominant colours so you can lift a whole scheme at once.
How to use it
- Drop in an image.
- Click any pixel to sample it.
- Copy the HEX, RGB or HSL value, or take a colour from the extracted palette.

Frequently asked questions
How is the palette worked out?
Colours are bucketed and counted, then the most frequent distinct ones are shown — so near-identical shades do not fill the palette.
Why does the colour differ from the design file?
Screenshots can be colour-managed or compressed, which shifts values slightly. Sample from the original asset when exact matching matters.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The pixels are read from a canvas in your browser.
